Grace McPhillips on WBEZ Afternoon Shift

There has been a lot of hubbub about television and film projects shooting in Chicago this winter. Divergent is in town, blocking traffic in Wicker Park and the West Loop and you can stumble upon a fake emergency on the set of Chicago Fire, which continues to shoot regularly in and around the Greater Chicago area. Those Hollywood based projects are always touted as good for Chicago actors and Chicago crew. While this is true, some believe that it is high-time that Chicago begins creating their own independent projects to get actors’ consistent work.

Enter Grace McPhillips. Grace is a local filmmaker and founder of the Chicago Acting in Film Meetup. She currently serves as the president on the CAFM board.

They are having their big holiday party for Chicago actors next week and we are pleased to have Grace with us in studio.
